Perrelet Jumping Hour Watch For 'Non Conformists' Watch Releases Perrelet watch company's new marketing message is that Perrelet watches are for non conformists. That is easy to say, but I like the message. It says me that they don't want everyone wearing their watches (Rolex) they want just a select few who really 'feel' when they experience what the brand has to offer. It is an interesting approach, but I think it works well for them.

aBlogtoRead.com content partner TheTimeTV gets the good stuff though, and is able to infiltrate the lines in order to get great video. While this video covers more than just the Monaco watches, it is focused on them primarily. The major model of interest was the Tag Heuer Monaco 24 watch. Penned as a concept and prototype, the watch will be built as a limited edition. The tech innovation in the watch is the incredible shock resistance. Tag Heuer says that you can drop the watch from 20 feet and it will survive. For a mechanical watch that is pretty good. It does this by "floating" the movement in the case as it is attached by four shock absorbers. Everything is made of exotic materials originally developed for car racing and aerospace use. The case is like a protective cockpit using steel tubing for protection. Further buffers and other shock "filters" inhabit the highly custom made 40.5mm wide tungsten case coated in black PVD (water resistant to 100 meters).

Seiko Power Design Project 2008 Results: Tokyo Looking Watches Watch Releases

The display back shows a basic movement, with stamped faux-decorations. The movement is an ST-16, in house from Sea-Gull and cheerfully using ideas like Seiko-style winding. The base design of the movement is probably Miyota's 8200 series.

high quality watch reproductions

How I love this luxury watch, let me count the ways: It has amazing internal mechanics, is totally original for a luxury watch while being extremely functional, and it looks great! What more could I want? Well aside from enough money to actually get one. Starting at about ,000 I should start saving up. This is Germany's A. Lange & Sohne new Lange Zeitwek watch. If anything, it is a solid way for Lange Uhren to position themselves as a creatively innovative watch makers, in addition to being cream-of-the-crop luxury.  I've been waiting to write about the Lange Zeitwerk on aBlogtoRead.com as I may accompany it with a interview with an A. Lange & Sohne engineer that worked on the watch. Would that be of interest to you? Check out the article on AskMen.com via the link below.

World of Watches is Going Sunglasses Crazy: Huge Sales on Top Shades.

From a mechanical level, the watch is nothing totally unique. A thirty minute chronograph in a bi-compax orientation makes for a n attractive dial as well as mechanical movement view in the back. The tough part of this watch was not placing the rotor in the front, it was doing so in a way that did not look silly. On that level the watch is pretty clever. I like how the rotor is carved away to give the chronograph counters an unobstructed view when the watch is in a vertical position. Further, the rotor is placed behind the main hands as to never obstruct them. Rich perlage polishing makes up the dial face which is available in different colors.

Inspired by a compass, the outer most disc rotates the hours, and with meticulous care and precision, the minutes are then also displayed. Mimicking the 4 points of a compass, the seconds disc rotates with a grid of four lines, suggesting the seconds as they pass. The pink gold "monitor" in the center of the dial opening is positioned to read the exact time, from hour - to minute - second. Such synchronization is hard to replicate, as you must well know.

The goal of the project is not all altruistic of course. Seiko is always on the lookout for new watch designs that will have market appeal. In the past, watches produced from the Power Design project have been successfully commercialized. Japan is known to be a lot more relaxed when it comes to releasing products to market. They have no hesitation manufacturing something with limited or untested appeal, but you don't often see these items out of Japan. Still, it is nice to know that at least in Japan companies like Seiko are willing to take risks.

Some reviews of IWC Replica watches

The winder accepts watches small and large. It could probably comfortable fit a watch of 50mm wide with a max of about a 25mm wide strap or bracelet. When you turn the winder on, it does not spin continuously as this is not necessary. Rather, it spins for one hour, rests for three hours, and then spins again. This is to prevent over-winding of a watch. Very basic, and will satisfy the needs of most watches.

So what would I accept? A case of gold seems most appropriate. Diamonds are of course welcome - but as long as they are set well - and Not Bedazzled! see Jacob the jeweler.

The idea behind the application is help connect with the estimated 25 million potential users who may be interested in the free application. Being able to directly send information to interested customers is extremely valuable, and can result in much faster and wider customer education of new products as well as give them a taste of what watches might be like before they are purchased. The first major hurdle was the creation of the application for Victorinox Swiss Army, the next challenge will be for them to utilize the full potential of the application. Ideally they will be tracking what watches garner the most interest from users, as well as send offers and other valuable information to the customers. The right way is to send a customer the full details of a watch a bit before it is released, and then when it is released remind them again with the product price. Too often watch companies just announce a product that isn't available for a long time afterward. A "news" item in the application should inform people that "the new Swiss Army model X" is out. Get one at "X" location (make sure they have it in stock) just 1 mile from your current location. That would be the best way to do it. We will have to see what ends up happening, but the signs are good that this is going to be a healthy new way for watch makers to interact with their customers in the near future. Swiss army watches tend to average in price at 0 - 0, but can go lower and obviously higher (,000 - ,000 or more). What works for this price point may not be a good idea for higher end watches, but it is worth testing the waters for all ranges of watch brands in my opinion.

Flying Since 1948: The IWC Aquatimer Replica Mark

See Nautica watches on eBay here.

The 18k rose or white gold case is 44.3mm wide by 48mm tall - a substantial size for a substantial watch. The watches will be available in a limited edition of only 18 pieces, but that should be per a model. There is something very old world about the design, yet the cut-away of the face as well as the design of the movement is more modern. I think that DeMonaco did a good job trying to recreate the "substance" of Monaco in this watch. Like I said before on Luxist, the case and look appear to be more architecturally inspired versus traditionally horologically inspired, and it is a fresh change of pace done well.

Skagen 355XLSSB Steel Collection Watch Review: Distinctly Danish Wrist Time Reviews

There is something sadistic in this watch. What is it trying to say about time and your timepiece? Maybe people will think you should not be messed with. "He was able to crush his watch and keep it running with the crystal intact?!" Alternatively this is pure Dali-esque  art with a slightly different take on the surrealist master. I don't know much about Churchill Watch Co. that was/is based out of London, but I take it the English watch company is not very popular (at least anymore) as I cannot find much mention of them online. Nevertheless, during at least one point they were brave enough to release with Churchill Crush watch. This piece is apparently #6 out of a limited edition of 100.
